Capstone Snapshot: Cosmic Roots Collective and Promotion of “Virtues”

 

The Cosmic Roots Collective are an Orlando, Florida-based rock band with an interesting array of influences that show on their latest album called “Virtues,” which was released on all the major music streaming platforms in August 2017 and garnered some great press among a few local and national blogs. The band dubs its sound "Psychedelic Progressive Pop from SPACE" and has made a name for itself in and around the Orlando and Central Florida music scene.

 

The Goals of this campaign are to build awareness of Cosmic Roots Collective by increasing their social media Followers and streaming listeners, particularly on Spotify, and to garner additional reviews of “Virtues.” The Objectives are to increase its Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Spotify Followers by 10% and obtain three new reviews of “Virtues.” Its Strategies include expanding their social media presence, learning to leverage Spotify’s “Playlists” feature, and developing a list of bloggers. The Tactics are posting a variety of engaging content weekly, updating its Spotify “Artist Profile,” and contacting a minimum of ten bloggers per week about reviewing “Virtues.”

 

We will be monitoring Cosmic Roots Collective’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Spotify accounts weekly to assess where we are in meeting our goals and objectives and, if need be, reassess what we need to change if we feel the goals may not be met.
